La Colle Forest has been treated as a dumping ground for local builders over centuries I'm sure.   Grassy mounds of earth hiding all kinds of objects are everywhere within a hundred metres of the road that passes through the forest. Broken concrete blocks and tiles, old window frames and pieces of furniture. But what has fasinated me has been finding parts of containers like buckets, rusty enamal jugs and decaying bits of old baskets.
